Voters went to the polls in South Florida on Tuesday in a primary election with low turnout and big implications. In Miami-Dade and Broward counties, voters cast ballots for county mayor, commission and school board, and locked in the November ballot for Congress and the Florida Legislature. New elected offices for elections supervisor and sheriff were on the ballot in Miami-Dade. Some cities held referendums.

Turnout was low, failing to reach 20% before polls closed at 7 p.m., according to unofficial tallies.

    Here are the results:

    FLORIDA / DEMOCRATS

    FLORIDA / NONPARTISAN
