Two Powerball players tried their luck and won big in Georgia, lottery officials said.

Someone in Canton matched all five winning numbers but not the Powerball to win $1 million in the drawing on Wednesday, Aug. 28, narrowly missing the $55 million jackpot, the Georgia Lottery said.

Another ticket purchased by a Fort Stewart resident won $100,000 after matching four numbers and the Powerball, results show.

The lucky player would’ve won $50,000 but spent an extra dollar on the Power Play option, doubling their prize.

Both tickets were purchased on the Georgia Lottery mobile app, officials said.

The winning numbers were 5, 33, 47, 50, 64 and red Powerball 20, according to the lottery game’s website. The Power Play multiplier option was 2X.

A Powerball ticket sold in Wisconsin won $2 million in the Wednesday drawing, the lottery said.

No one snagged the game’s grand prize, which grows to an estimated $69 million for the next drawing on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on Aug. 19, when someone in California claimed the $44 million top prize , according to the lottery game’s website.
