Condos are a painful topic these days in South Florida.

Unit owners are facing spiraling monthly fees, steep assessments and uncertain major repairs to their buildings.

In September, the Miami Herald led a panel discussion on the condo crisis called “Priced out of Paradise,” with political and real estate leaders mapping out the problem and offering solutions.

Tom Hudson of WLRN moderated the panel made up of Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, state Rep. Vicki Lopez, and condo real estate experts Peter Zalewski and Ned Murray.

If they don’t quit building apartments/condos around Panama City beach and Panama City. We are not going to have any trees left up here. The devastation of the land around here is sickening and who’s pocketing all the money. Piss poor Bay County council and city council obviously don’t care about the trees or wildlife they are destroying their habitats…it’s all about the money and greed! Now due to ignorance of these councils that didn’t think about traffic issues and put more roadways in, we have a severe traffic congestion problems. But the builders and council members don’t care about that…again it’s all about the money and greed!!! Eyesore apartments everywhere and they are far from affordable for the people who do the dirty work and a lot of that is seasonal. They are running out all these people and who is going to be doing the work on condos, lawn care and others that don’t pay enough? Most likely all the illegal aliens like on Florida avenue behind Bay dealership.
