Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts — if you’ve got a McDonald’s receipt.

Fans of the fast-food chain who show a receipt dated between Oct. 10 and Oct. 14 can get a free original glazed doughnut at Krispy Kreme shops nationwide, according to the Charlotte-based bakery.

The offer ends Monday, Oct. 14, and no purchase at Krispy Kreme is necessary.

Krispy Kreme will launch its phased rollout into McDonald’s restaurants on Oct. 15, starting in Chicago, the bakery said in a news release. The companies announced their partnership back in March, with plans to bring fresh doughnuts to McDonald’s restaurants daily.

The idea was first tested in 2022 at McDonald’s locations in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, McClatchy News reported.

“The top request we receive from consumers is for more access to our delicious, fresh doughnuts,” Josh Charlesworth, president and CEO of Krispy Kreme, said in the release.

The doughnut chain said it expects daily deliveries to more than 1,000 McDonald’s locations by year’s end, with nationwide availability by the end of 2026.

McDonald’s customers in Chicago will have their pick of three Krispy Kreme favorites:

    • Original glazed doughnut
    • Chocolate iced with sprinkles doughnut
    • Chocolate iced Kreme-filled doughnut

    Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
