    As per the National Hurricane Center's 5 am Friday update, Tropical Storm Leslie is 1635 miles west-southwest of the Azores, with maximum sustained wind of 60 mph. It’s moving at 10 mph to the north.

    "A turn toward the north-northeast is expected later today, followed by a turn towards northeast and east-northeast with an increase in forward speed through the weekend." meteorologists observed. "Gradual weakening is forecast to continue and Leslie is expected to become a post-tropical cyclone in a couple of days."

    Yesterday, Leslie transformed into a Category 1 hurricane. It was later downgraded to a tropical storm with sustained winds of 70 mph.
