Martha Stewart is getting real with her fans, revealing she cheated on her now ex-husband early on in their relationship.

The lifestyle guru admitted to cheating on her then-boyfriend Andy Stewart before becoming husband and wife.

In a trailer for her upcoming documentary titled “Martha,” she also admitted she doesn’t think Andy ever knew about her infidelity.

“Young women, listen to my advice,” Martha, now 83, said in the trailer. “If you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of ----.”

What inspired the declaration isn’t clear in the trailer.

However, following her declaration, Martha was asked by a producer about her own affair.

“Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that,” she admitted.

Andy and Martha got married in 1961. They separated 26 years later and finalized their divorce in 1990.

The former couple shares one daughter together, Alexis Stewart.

As the trailer continued, Martha mulled mauled over what is most important, “a marriage? Or a career?”

She ultimately conceded that she wasn’t sure what the correct answer is.

Nonetheless, Martha said, “I coulda just been a miserable, has-been housewife. But I didn’t let that happen to myself. And I’m so happy I didn’t.”

Just a few days ago in an interview with E! News , Martha shared her distaste for the term “Trad Wife,” which has recently gone viral used to describe women, particularly on social media, who “adhere to the traditional gender roles of wife, homemaker, and stay-at-home mom.”

While at the Hamptons International Film Festival on Oct. 4, she told E! News, “I don’t like the name.”

However, she’s a huge fan of the “Trad Wives” who have made a name for themselves on social media.

Stewart, in particular, called out Hannah Neeleman, known as “Ballerina Farm,” on social media.

“She’s great, that girl. The girl out in the ranch,” Martha told E! “She’s fabulous. Fabulous. She’s a cool wife and mother and a cook. And she raises cows. What’s bad about that?”

Her documentary is set to air on Netflix on Oct. 30.
