What’s open, closed on Columbus Day in Miami-Dade and Broward? Here’s what we know

Columbus Day, also known as Indigenous Peoples’ Day, is on Monday, Oct. 14.

Columbus Day is a federal holiday, which means federal offices, including the U.S. Postal Service, and most banks, such as Chase, Wells Fargo and Bank of America, are closed.

As for supermarkets, shopping centers and schools, here is what is open and closed in Miami-Dade and Broward counties:

Banks: Most, if not all, are closed. You can still use ATMs and online banking.
