The Miami Hurricanes had their first bye week of the season last week, and UM did not move Associated Press top 25 poll while not playing.

Miami checked in at No. 6 in the latest edition of the AP poll on Sunday, staying steady with its spot from last week.

The Hurricanes are a perfect 6-0 and 2-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. They are one of 11 teams that are still undefeated, along with Texas, Oregon, Penn State, Iowa State, BYU, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Army, Navy and Liberty.

The Hurricanes began the season ranked No. 19 before moving up to No. 12 after Week 1 , No. 10 after Week 2 , No. 8 after Week 3 and No. 7 after Week 4 before falling to No. 8 after Week 5 and moving up to No. 6 after Week 6 .

Elsewhere, two teams ranked in the top-10 lost in ranked matchups as then-No. 2 Ohio State lost 32-31 to then-No. 3 Oregon, while then-No. 9 Ole Miss lost 29-26 in overtime to then-No. 13 LSU. The only other ranked team to lose over the weekend was then-No. 16 Utah falling 27-19 to Arizona State on Friday.

The new top 10 as a result of the Ohio State and Ole Miss losses: Texas stayed at No. 1, Oregon moved up to No. 2, Penn State moved up to No. 3 and Ohio State fell to No. 4. Georgia, Miami and Alabama stayed at 5, 6 and 7, respectively, while LSU jumped up five spots to No. 8 and Iowa State moved up two spots to No. 9. Clemson remained at No. 10.
