Recalling Jordan Walker to just platoon was a bad decision by the Cardinals
After veteran infielder Matt Carpenter was placed on the Injured List this past Monday, former top prospect Jordan Walker was recalled. The young outfielder was having a spectacular August at Triple-A Memphis through a week and a half, and his growth was rewarded with a promotion to the big league squad. The hope was that Walker would be able to hit against left-handed pitchers for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Three women are accused of assaulting a woman and her pregnant sister in Jefferson City. Ranika Lazard and Lanora Brown, of Jefferson City, and Brianna Jones, of Holts Summit, are charged with accessory to second-degree assault and accessory to fourth-degree assault. Brown is also charged with one count of resisting arrest. All three are being held without bond.

GM Signs Landmark Solar Power Deal for Three Assembly Plants
As part of an ongoing push around renewable energy, we’re announcing a 15-year renewable energy purchase agreement with NorthStar Clean Energy for three GM assembly plants. NorthStar’s Newport Solar project in Newport, Arkansas, will support the electricity needs of GM’s Lansing Delta Township Assembly and Lansing Grand River Assembly in Michigan, and the Wentzville Assembly site in Missouri by adding renewable energy directly to the grid we source from. The Newport project has a capacity of 180 megawatts. NorthStar Clean Energy is a unit of CMS Energy.
