Man receives prison sentence for fatal Miamisburg shooting

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A man will spend 36 years to life in prison after a deadly shooting in Miamisburg.

Tony Lee Smith Jr. will spend 36 years to life in prison for a fatal shooting that occurred in April 2022 .

On April 6, police were called to East Pearl Street on reports of an unresponsive male. Prosecutors say Smith robbed and then shot 28-year-old Dylan Judd twice in the head. Judd died at the scene.

Police used surveillance video to identify and arrest Smith the next day, finding him with a bag full of items taken from Judd’s home.

On May 14, Smith pleaded guilty to 13 counts, including four counts of aggravated murder and four counts of aggravated robbery.
