(August 1, 2024 - Blue Ash) The Blue Ash Fire Department and Firefighters Local 3203’s 9/11 Memorial Run and Walk on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, will begin with a touching remembrance ceremony at 8:00 a.m. at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road. Included in the ceremony will be the Presentation of the Colors, Taps, and a 21-gun salute by the American Legion Post 630, an invocation from the Blue Ash Fire Chaplain, and additional tributes to the individuals who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Greater Cincinnati school district to implement 'Yondr Bags' to create phone-free space
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Phones will have to stay in bags at a couple local high schools starting this year. Northwest Local School District said that both Colerain and Northwest High School will implement what are called "Yondr Bags" to create a phone-free space. The school will provide the pouches for each student, which they can put their phone in at the start of each school day.
Kairo's Kids: Mom starts nonprofit to adapt toys to different abilities
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A mom in Hamilton whose child couldn’t use traditional toys to play is now on a mission to help others. She’s learned to adapt toys. Kairo Margera is four years old. He was born differently abled and is now able to play with certain toys because his mom adapted them as part of a newly launched program called Kairo’s Kids.
