Cincinnati native Lavelle, USA move on in Paris Olympics with win over Australia
PARIS, IDF — Cincinnati native Rose Lavelle and the United States Women's National Team advanced to the next round of the Paris Olympics on Wednesday, defeating Australia 2-1. One of the most decorated soccer players from the Cincinnati area, Lavelle is a graduate of Mt. Notre Dame and one of five midfielders on the US roster for the Paris Olympics.
