    Mackinac County judge tapped for Michigan Judicial Council

    The Michigan Supreme Court has appointed a district court chief judge to the Michigan Judicial Council.

    Chief Judge Beth Gibson of the 92nd District Court in Mackinac County was appointed to fill the remainder of a term that ends Dec. 31, 2026.

    Gibson was first elected to the 92nd District bench in 2004 after a career as a criminal defense attorney. She earned her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
