Indiana tight end James Bomba nominated to AFCA Good Works Team
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football tight end James Bomba was nominated to the American Football Coaches Association's Good Works Team on Wednesday. The organization established the honor going back to 1992 as a way to recognize college football athletes for their commitment to community service. All nominees — there were 178 of them this year — must be actively involved with a charitable organization and maintain a strong academic record.

I&M continues restoring power following July 15-16 storm damage
INDIANA (WFFT) — Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is still working to restore power for customers following Monday night and Tuesday morning storms. The company revealed 27,700 customers were without power on Tuesday at 9 a.m. At 1 p.m. on Tuesday, I&M reported they had restored power to nearly 20,000 customers.

An Alabama man has been sentenced to nearly five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to arson for setting his father's house on fire in Connersville, Indiana, resulting in the death of the family's dog and cat.
