Indiana DNR Accepting Applications for Shooting Range Grants
The DNR Shooting Range Grant Program is accepting applications for the development of rifle, handgun, shotgun firing, and archery opportunities for public use. While growing up in southern Indiana, I always looked forward to trips to the shooting range. I started out at just seven years old with a simple single shot .22 rifle, before making my way up to a 12-gauge shotgun around the age of 11. Eventually, I was given the opportunity to fire a few different handguns. The hobby has stuck with me through the years, and I've since become fascinated with old military surplus rifles. I still make regular trips to the shooting range today.
Anheuser-Busch Donates Drinking Water to Indiana Fire Department

The public service announcements and alerts used to roll right over my head, but now, as a married man with a house and several animals, it's something I keep in mind a little more these days. Disasters can happen at any time, as was clearly seen earlier this week when multiple weather hazards hit the area. If you ask me, preparing for disaster is not only an individual responsibility but also a community responsibility.
