After finding two deceased women in a Middle River residence, Baltimore County police are suspecting the deaths resulted from an apparent double homicide and are investigating the incident.

On Monday afternoon, BCPD identified the two victims, who were grandmother and granddaughter. Iona Sellers, 75, and Autumn Harvey, 29, were found after sustaining blunt-force trauma to their upper bodies, according to Baltimore County Police spokesperson Trae Corbin.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Just before 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, police from the Essex Precinct responded to the unit block of Taos Circle for a check location call. Upon arrival, they found the two deceased victims.

Loved ones, relatives and close friends took to social media to express heartfelt condolences over the past few days.

According to her Facebook profile, Harvey attended CCBC-Essex and worked in Towson. Sydney Mclaughlin, a family member of the victims, shared personal reflections about them in Facebook posts.

“You always treated me so well, you was so kind and caring. You helped a stranger anytime in need,” Mclaughlin said of Sellers.

“You trusted everyone because you believed in the lord, and didn’t think evil walked this earth. You didn’t deserve this, nor did autumn. I pray you are all together in heaven, and you all are at peace. We will carry on your legacy and your name.”

Likewise, Mclaughlin shared emotional tributes and memories of Harvey, whom she said she helped raise.

“Autumn was too good for this world, and God has bigger plans for her,” Mclaughlin said.

“May God wrap his arms around my brother (Harvey’s father) and our whole family while we work through this together. Homicide detectives are working hard, I can’t believe my sweet girl is gone. I love you autumn sky, always have always will. I’ll see you again.”

Anyone with information relevant to this case should contact BCPD detectives at 410-307-2020. Information may also be provided anonymously by contacting Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.
