Last week, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich was in Ocean City for the Maryland Association of Counties (MACO) summer conference. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at Prism Pl. in Gaithersburg on Saturday evening. According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos, crews were initially dispatched at 6:51pm on Saturday for an apartment fire on the terrace level. Crews forced entry into the apart net and extinguished a kitchen fire.

Police: One arrested after men urinate on Vienna street
On Aug. 17 at 8:05 p.m., an officer observed three men in the area of Park Street and Patrick Street, S.E., in Vienna, with two of them urinating on the sidewalk, police said. One of the urinators walked away. Upon an officer’s interaction with the other, signs of intoxication were found, police said.
