The Pizza Files: Movie Premiere-Slice of America: Charred in the Florida Sun
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Connecticut’s Morning Buzz Reporter Jillian Andrews was joined by Colin M. Caplan, Pizza Guru and the driving force behind Taste of New Haven, and Gorman Bechard, Director of the upcoming film Slice of America: Charred in the Florida Sun. The duo shared insights into the movie, which highlights the journey of a New Haven native who brought the city’s beloved pizza to southern Florida. The film premieres at the New Haven Museum on September 11th, kicking off a month filled with pizza-themed events in New Haven.

Pashto Course Coming To NHPS
New Haven’s two comprehensive high schools will introduce a “Pashto Native Heritage Speaker” course this school year for its increasing population of students who need to improve their writing and reading skills in a language native to Afghanistan and Pakistan before they move on to learning English.
Women’s Hockey Announces 2024-25 Schedule
The Yale women's hockey team has unveiled its 2024-25 schedule featuring 29 games, including 22 ECAC Hockey matchups and seven non-conference contests. The season opens at home against Saint Anselm on October 22. Yale's games will include participation in the Nutmeg Classic, with an initial matchup against UConn. The Bulldogs will celebrate their Senior Day on February 8, 2025, against Harvard, and the Mandi Schwartz Whiteout Game will occur on October 26 against Quinnipiac. Streaming will be available for all home games and select road games on ESPN+.
