    Redmond Chevrolet opens in Middlesboro

There’s a new car dealership in downtown Middlesboro as Redmond Cheverolet held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday.

Owner Brian Redmond and General Manager Kyle Nelson were joined by several members of the Bell County Chamber of Commerce, Middlesboro Main Street and Mayor Boone Bowling for their ribbon cutting.

“We’re ecstatic to have this dealership back here in town,” Redmond said. “Chevrolet is pumped to be back in Middlesboro and Bell County. I started out at Rowland Chevrolet in I think 1997 washing cars. Mr. Rowland left in 2003, so just to get back here with Chervrolet and hopefully make a huge impact means a lot to me.”

The full service dealership, located next to Conley’s on Cumberland Avenue, has the full line of Chevrolet cars and trucks available as well as being a certified Chevy service center.

“It’s been 20 years since Chevrolet had a dealership in Bell County and we are super excited to get this thing open and running today,” Nelson said. “Brian and I have very similar stories of growing up in Bell County and moving away to bigger cities but we just had that calling to come home. We’re so excited to be doing this to improve downtown Middlesboro and to be here where our hearts are.”
