Middlesex County man charged in Hoboken DWI hit-and-run
A drunken Middlesex County man struck two parked cars, lost a wheel and part of an axle on a Hoboken street, and still he tried to flee early Sunday morning, authorities said. Jefferson Sanchez, 22, of Carteret, didn’t get far in his oversized SUV, a GMC Yukon, on just three wheels, however, Hoboken public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin said.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY ROUTE 516 RESURFACING - FROM GAUB ROAD TO APPROXIMATELY ½ MILE WEST OF OWEN ROAD
On Wednesday July 10th, 2024, Middlesex County Department of Public Works will begin milling and resurfacing of Middlesex County Route 516 from Gaub Road to approximately ½ mile west of Owen Road. Road work will begin at 7am and end around 3pm, daily, for approximately 10 business days, weather permitting. During construction traffic directors will be alternating traffic to maintain two was traffic. Access will be provided to local residents, emergency vehicles, school buses, mail carrier, deliveries, and trash haulers. If possible, please avoid County Route 516 and plan alternate route during construction activities.
