PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Police Department and Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office are asking for public assistance in obtaining information regarding a cold case, investigating the deaths of John Sabbatino of New Brunswick and Jeanne Biondo of East Brunswick. Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on April 19, 1973, Mr. Sabbatino, age 27, was found deceased near Otis and Grove Avenues in Edison. Ms. Biondo, age 37, was found deceased approximately three hours later in a vehicle parked in the rear of Plainfield Motor Vehicle Inspection Station in South Second Street in Plainfield. MIDDLESEX COUNTY ROUTE 516 RESURFACING - BETWEEN THAMES DRIVE AND OLD BRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL
On Monday July 8th, 2024, Middlesex County Department of Public Works will begin milling and resurfacing of Middlesex County Route 516 between Thames Drive and Old Bridge High School. Road work will begin at 7am and end around 3pm, daily, for approximately 10 business days, weather permitting. During construction traffic directors will be alternating traffic to maintain two was traffic. Access will be provided to local residents, emergency vehicles, school buses, mail carrier, deliveries, and trash haulers. If possible, please avoid County Route 516 and plan alternate route during construction activities.
