MIDDLESEX COUNTY ROUTE 516 RESURFACING - BETWEEN THAMES DRIVE AND OLD BRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL
On Monday July 8th, 2024, Middlesex County Department of Public Works will begin milling and resurfacing of Middlesex County Route 516 between Thames Drive and Old Bridge High School. Road work will begin at 7am and end around 3pm, daily, for approximately 10 business days, weather permitting. During construction traffic directors will be alternating traffic to maintain two was traffic. Access will be provided to local residents, emergency vehicles, school buses, mail carrier, deliveries, and trash haulers. If possible, please avoid County Route 516 and plan alternate route during construction activities.
Air quality alert in effect for 10 N.J. counties until Monday night
An air quality alert was issued in effect until 11 p.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties. "The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert today for much of northern New Jersey and portions of central and southern New Jersey," says the National Weather Service.
