Walter J. Williams 83 of Harrisburg, died Monday, July 8, 2024 at his home. Walter was born in Dayton, Ohio and was the son of the late Jack and Joyce Williams. He was retired from the Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, Harrisburg, where he was a shift supervisor. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served two tours, and in 1987 he retired from the U.S. Air Force, after 28 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and Hunters & Anglers Club. He enjoyed watching old western movies and the Hallmark Channel, and cruising on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

Two injured in shooting at Hoveter Homes near Harrisburg’s Foose Elementary
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Two men have been injured after a shooting at Hoveter Homes near Foose Elementary in Harrisburg. Harrisburg Police say around 3:30 p.m. they responded to a report of shots fired in the area of South 13th Street and Cloverly Road. There police found two men with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to local hospitals and the investigation is ongoing.
