The tournament opened Friday and runs through Sunday at Rockledge Athletic Fields. State Police at Carlisle (717-249-2121) A Newville man was injured in a crash that occurred along the 200 block of Centerville Road in West Pennsboro Township July 7 around 9:30 p.m. Koi Shotto, 19, was driving north on Centerville Road when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the oncoming traffic lane. The vehicle exited the left side of the road, struck a utility pole and flipped over, sustaining disabling damage police said. Shotto was transported to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center via Friendship Hose Company and police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Five-point Carlisle intersection could see changes in coming years; roundabout possible
Changes could be on the way to a five-point intersection in downtown Carlisle, though they may still be a few miles down the road. The crossing is at Walnut Bottom Road, Willow Street and West Street near the Carlisle Family YMCA. This intersection will be studied through the Federal Highway Administration's Intersection Control Evaluation process to determine what improvements could be made, PennDOT District Press Officer Dave Thompson said.
