Police release details in fatal I-81 crash Sunday in Silver Spring Township
State Police at Carlisle released further details about a triple-fatal crash on Interstate 81 in Silver Spring Township Sunday afternoon. Police said the driver of a tractor-trailer, Melake Zeresenay, 29, of Seattle, Washington, was traveling in the left lane of I-81 north when he attempted to merge into the right lane at 1:53 p.m. Sunday. Nancy M. Defeo, 86, of Biglerville, died Tuesday morning, July 16, 2024, at the Gettysburg Hospital. Born August 4, 1937, in Tarentum, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Hudak) Stahl. She was the wife of John J. Defeo Jr. of Biglerville to whom she was married for 56 years.

Family Sues Paqui Following 14-Year-Old's One Chip Challenge Death in 2023
The parents of Harris Wolobah, the teenager who died last year after participating in the Paqui "One Chip Challenge," are suing the company for their son's death. On Thursday, lawyers representing the teen's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit on their behalf against the company as well as Hershey Co. and Walgreens, the place where Harris bought the chip. The family held a press conference where one of their attorneys, Douglas Sheff, spoke for them. According to Sheff, the Wolobah family is making sure another family won't experience such a tragic event.
