A Massachusetts family is suing Hershey and Walgreens months after their 14-year-old son died due to his participation in the viral "One Chip Challenge." Lois Wolobah, the mother of Harris Wolobah, claims the companies contributed to the wrongful death of her son on the morning of Sept. 1, 2023, when he ate a Paqui “One Chip Challenge” product.

THOMPSONTOWN — Police are seeking information on a vehicle stolen from Regester’s car dealership in Thompsontown Borough in late June. According to the report, an unidentified individual stole a 2021 Chevrolet from the dealership along with cash and a cashier’s check worth $47,000 around 3:30 a.m. June 23.
Teen's Death from 'One Chip Challenge' Sparks Lawsuit Against Hershey, Walgreens, and Others
A lawsuit was filed against Hershey, Walgreens, and others in the case of Harris Wolobah, a Massachusetts teen who died after participating in the "One Chip Challenge" on social media. Harris, a 10th grader from Worcester, died last September after eating a Paqui chip containing a high concentration of capsaicin. The autopsy indicated that Harris suffered cardiopulmonary arrest due to ingesting the spicy chip, compounded by a congenital heart defect. The family's attorney claims the defendants created a "perfect storm" leading to Harris's death by producing and selling the dangerous chip and promoting the challenge online.
Restrictions resume Monday on Route 15
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced lane restrictions on two sections of northbound US Route 15 in Adams County will resume Monday, July 15. The restrictions are from Mile 5 to Mile 10 near Gettysburg for work associated with an ongoing pavement preservation project, according to a PennDOT release.

York County SPCA cancels dog adoption event amid Parvovirus cases
The York County SPCA has canceled its half-price Splish Splash Adoption Bash after three cases of parvovirus were found among strays brought into the shelter. "Because of the positive cases and the potential for exposure risk, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the adoption event scheduled for this Sunday," York County SPCA Spokesperson Kristen Dempwolf said in a statement. "We will remain closed for public browsing in our dog kennel until Thursday, July 25."
Dover school officials set to vote on two anti-LGBTQ+ policies
