Members of the Donna Briggs Foundation held their second annual Cornhole Tournament and Auction on Saturday, July 13, at the Hudson VFW Post 5791. Briggs, of Derry, who was a retired police Sgt. with the Hudson Police Department, was tragically killed while riding her bike along Route 125 in Kingston back in 2021. She was training for her second Police Unity Tour when she was struck from behind in a hit and run accident.

Seabrook heroes: Officers honored for life-saving actions
SEABROOK — Three Seabrook police officers were honored recently with their department’s Life Saving Awards for their responses to life and death situations. Seabrook Police Chief Brett Walker said officers Timothy Scott, Richard Hines and Tyler Houldsworth went “above and beyond the call of duty” by immediately administering life-saving medical care to victims before the arrival of Seabrook’s Fire Department personnel. Their quick thinking and willingness to provide care without delay, according to Walker, may have prevented the victims from suffering more dire consequences from their injuries, including loss of life.
Exeter Country Club delays new clubhouse, restaurant amid rising costs
EXETER — Exeter Country Club's plan to construct a new clubhouse and restaurant is on hold – at least for now. Blind Tiger, LLC, which manages the club at 58 Jady Hill, recently requested a one-year extension from the town's Planning Board to construct a new two-story clubhouse with a restaurant on the second floor.
West Wheelock purchases seek to address housing shortage
On June 21, Dartmouth finalized the purchase of four West Wheelock Street properties as part of an effort to increase housing options, according to the Student Affairs webpage.
