MIDDLETON, Wis. -- The Middleton Police Department says there is no threat to the public after 911 calls from someone claiming to be threatened with a rifle.

Officers were called to the 3600 block of Napoli Ln. in Middleton.  In several disconnected 911 calls, the caller reported being threatened with a rifle.  Dispatchers had difficulty obtaining more information due to a language barrier.

After interviewing several people, officers determined that there was never any threat made with firearms.

The incident started due to a verbal disagreement involving noise.
