    Coroner IDs teen found dead after Great Miami River search

    Update, 4:15 p.m.: The person who went missing and was later found dead was identified as Justin L. Lewis Jr., 19, by the Office of the Coroner, Butler County.

    The coroner's report states that Lewis drowned in the Middletown Reservoir. The manner of his death is listed as "pending investigation.

    Earlier report: A boy who went missing Friday night at the Great Miami River was found dead Sunday, according to the Middletown Fire Department.

    His body was recovered around 3 p.m., the fire department said.

    Middletown dispatch said crews responded to the 4400 block of North Verity Parkway on Friday night after reports that someone went missing at the Great Miami River Park.

    The rescue resumed Saturday at 7:21 a.m., dispatch said.

    On Saturday, the Middletown Fire Department requested on Facebook that people stay out of the Miami River Park area, but had not specified that there was a search in progress.

    The fire department did not release the boy's name or age.
