Monday, Aug. 12 11:14 p.m. Police responded to the 2200 block of W. Wackerly Street for an alleged drug offense and a warrant arrest. 9:42 p.m. - A deputy was dispatched to a Lee Township neighborhood to check the area for an unknown man soliciting bug spraying services at night. The deputy checked the area and was unable to locate the person. 9:32 p.m. A deputy took a civil complaint from a 38-year-old man, who reported issues with his ex-landlord damaging the house. The deputy provided the man with advice on how to handle the issue. 8:44 p.m. - Deputies and the Lee Township Fire Department were dispatched to a Lee Township roadway for a report of a power line that had broken and was down in the roadway. Deputies and the firefighters assisted with traffic control until Consumers Energy arrived on scene to fix the power line. 7:32 p.m. - A deputy was dispatched to Lee Township for a report of a suspicious man with a tablet computer. The deputy talked with an 18-year-old Indiana man, who turned out to be a door-to-door salesman for a pesticide company. 4:22 p.m. - Police were called to an injury crash at Eastman Avenue and Pheasant Ridge Drive. 11:45 a.m. - A deputy was dispatched to a Jerome Township location regarding a woman requesting assistance. Contact was made with a 40-year-old woman about an argument she had with her 42-year-old husband because he was going through her phone and deleting contacts. Prior to the deputy's arrival, the man returned all his wife's property, and the woman requested a ride to a family member's residence. 11:09 a.m. - A deputy was dispatched to a Warren Township residence to do a well-being check. A Mount Pleasant doctor’s office reported a voicemail from a patient from three days prior about possibly having suicidal thoughts. When the voicemail was received, a phone call was placed to 911 for a well-being check. Contact was made with the 43-year-old woman and her 31-year- old fiancé. The deputy was advised the voicemail was a big misunderstanding, and the woman wanted her medication changed before it started affecting her negatively. The woman denied being suicidal. 5:53 a.m. - Police responded to an obstructing justice complaint in the 600 block of Apollo Boulevard. 12:52 a.m. - A 17-year-old Porter Township resident was cited for license and traffic violations after a single-vehicle crash in Lee Township.
