Cancer Patient Shows Up To Jelly Roll Concert With IV Still In Her Arm: “Let’s Get Her Somewhere Comfortable”

Looks like I can’t use the “not feeling well” excuse to get out of plans anymore.

We’ve seen plenty of fans at concerts over the years holding signs saying that they’re in the middle of cancer treatments. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen one show up on the front row with a full-blown IV drip in their arm – until now.

Video from a recent Jelly Roll show at Tailgates N’ Tallboys in Midland, Michigan shows the country superstar spotting the woman in the crowd, and pausing the show to talk to her:

“I’ve seen a lot of crazy shit at my shows. But this young lady is out here with a full-blown IV. You’re a cancer survivor? How many people are with you?”

Jelly then calls up a member of his team to get the lady somewhere more comfortable to watch the rest of the show:

“Let’s get her a chair somewhere. Somebody on my team, let’s get her somewhere more comfortable to watch the rest of the show. We’ll get you off your feet baby, ok?”

    Amazing.

The woman was identified as Kathi Montalvo, who posted about the experience on her own TikTok page. Ahead of the show, she even said that she didn’t care if she had to take her IV with her, she was going to see Jelly Roll because it was “at the top of my bucket list.” And not only did she have her IV with her, she also had to attend the show with her feeding tube – and was worried about whether security would let her through.

Well not only did she make it to the front of the crowd, but Montalvo said that after he spotted her in the crowd, Jelly’s team moved her over in front of the barrier and got her a seat and some water:

“It was the best concert of my life.”

There’s no doubt that the concert was a welcome break for the woman who’s going through a tough time. A chance to get her mind off things and just go out and see one of her favorite artists.
