Midland County Horseshoe asks for community input on its future recreation area

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Midland County Horseshoe announced that they are requesting community input from citizens who would like to contribute to the overall vision of the new recreation area.

The Midland County Commissioners Court and Midland County Horseshoe Arena held a public meeting on June 27th, 2024 to go over plans for their new recreation area and took input from citizens who attended; now an online survey is available for those who would also like to add their feedback.

In May of 2024, the Midland County Commissioners Court started making plans to make recreational improvements to the Midland County Horseshoe. The project was said to envision trails, playgrounds, and other features for the underdeveloped west side of the property.

The online survey can be found here . It will be available to take until July 21st and will allow those who fill out the survey to contribute to the overall vision of the recreation area, along with selecting specific elements they would like to see.

The survey’s findings will then be presented to the County representatives to later start a conceptual plan development in August 2024.
