    PBIOS donates $80,000 in support of Midland College energy programs

    MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Midland College recently announced an $80,000 donation from the Permian Basin International Oil Show, supporting programs dedicated to the next generation of energy professionals.

    “Midland College is deeply grateful for the generous $80,000 donation from the Permian Basin International Oil Show,” said Midland College Provost Dr. Michael Dixon. “This substantial contribution will play a crucial role in advancing our programs dedicated to cultivating the next generation of energy professionals throughout the Permian Basin and beyond. With this support, we can provide our students with state-of-the-art education and training, empowering them to become leaders and innovators in the energy sector.”

    MC said the funds will help various programs within the college’s energy curriculum, designed to equip students with the latest knowledge and skills required in an evolving energy landscape. The College added that the donation will “enhance the college’s ability to offer cutting-edge training and research opportunities, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the industry.”

    Midland College also said it remains committed to energy education by offering state-of-the-art facilities and experienced faculty members who bring real-world expertise to the classroom.
