    MCSO arrests two parents after five-year-old child with autism found on road

    MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- Two parents have been arrested for Abandoning and endangering a child after reports were made of a child on South County Road in Midland.

    According to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, July 25, officers responded to the 2100 block of SCR 1140 after a report was made of a found child.

    Officials stated that upon further investigation, contact was made with 30-year-old Amanda Wilson and 32-year-old Nathaniel Spellings, the parents of the child who was discovered to be five years old and autistic.

    Reports showed that after an inspection of their residence by law enforcement, both Wilson and Spellings were arrested and booked into the Midland County Detention Center for Abandoning or Endangering a child.

    This case is ongoing and is reported to have CPS involved.
