Georgia officials say tests show improvement following pandemic
(The Center Square) — Georgia education officials say the 2023-24 Georgia Milestones results show "steady academic recovery" among Georgia's public school students following education disruption amid the pandemic. BOE tentatively approves millage rate of 7.932, Three public hearings scheduled for August
The Bulloch County Board of Education tentatively approved the adoption of the 2024 Tax Digest and M&O Millage Rate for FY25, at 7.932 mills. This is a decrease from last year's millage rate of 8.478, but an increase of .374 mill over the rollback rate set this year. This increase is necessary to maintain the 14-mill requirement that secures the school's equalization funding.
