Attorney general staffer out after false report to St. Louis Police
A lawyer working for the Missouri Attorney General is no longer with the office after attempting to make a police report in St. Louis city on Monday, July 8. After the assistant attorney general attempted to report a crime, St. Louis Metropolitan Police spokesman Sgt. Charles Wall says, “Ultimately, investigators were able to quickly determine that no such incident actually occurred and no assault report was taken.”

The 155-page environmental assessment (EA) document for the ambitious Trails at Mena project has just been published, and consequently, the 30-day comment period is now open. After reviewing the high-level document details, it appears that the proposed action from the US Forest Service (USFS) is essentially identical to the plan I reported on back in May. Be sure to read that article for more context, but in brief, the Trails at Mena plan includes issuing a Special Use Permit (SUP) to the Arkansas State Parks Department for 8,832 acres of the Ouachita National Forest.
