In today’s Fact or Fiction I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION .

    1. Jeremiah Smith is better than Ryan Williams.

    Farrell’s take: FACT

This is probably one of the toughest Fact or Fiction topics I’ve ever done. However, there is no “Both” option so I’m going with Smith. Williams is better after the catch and with body control while Smith has the better ball skills. It comes down to size and Smith has a big advantage there so he gets the edge.

    2. Kirby Smart should be suspended.

    Farrell’s take: FACT

While I’m not outraged by Smart’s push of Mississippi State QB Michael Van Buren as I think it was unintentional, Smart should still miss a game just to send a message that coaches can’t put hands on players. Let’s just wait a week and not make it the Texas game.

    3. Cam Rising should seek a 8th season.

    Farrell’s take: FICTION

Self awareness is important in life and it’s time for Rising to hang it up. Head coach Kyle Whittingham should take him aside, thank him for his service and quietly let him know it’s time to move on. Rising is taking an opportunity from someone else if he stays and will have a college career length comparable to an NFL veteran. College football wasn’t made for this.
