Something big is coming to El Paso this spring.

It’s The Big El Paso Fair returning to Ascarate Park for two weeks in April and this time around it’s promising “more rides [and] more fun in 2024.”

El Paso’s largest public-use recreational park will become a springtime destination of flashing lights, midway sounds, and appetizing smells from Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 28.

Families who love state fair-quality carnival rides will have the opportunity to get their thrill-ride on, fill-up on tasty fair foods, and check out a variety of family-friendly entertainment for 17 fun-filled nights.

Among the kid-friendly activities coming, according to the fair website, is a Foam Zone and Majestik Spectacular which features “the best thrill circus acts and stunt performers from around the world” and includes the heart-stopping Globe of Death. All the live entertainment is free with your gate admission.

    Save on Gate Admission/Ride Bracelet

Events of this magnitude can be a bit pricey, but buying the gate admission and ride bracelets in advance can help keep costs down.

You can save 50% on the entrance fee ($7.50 per person) if you buy online or at Walgreens from March 12 through April 11.

Mega Passes for unlimited rides can also be purchased in advance online or at Walgreens through April 11 and will save you ten bucks per wristband ($20 versus $30 at the gate).
