    Princeton, Milaca residents involved in five-vehicle crash

    A five-vehicle crash in Elk River involved four Milaca residents, and one Princeton resident on Thursday, May 23.

    The crash on Highway 169 caused multiple people non-life-threatening injuries.

    At approximately 8:40 a.m., all five vehicles involved in the crash were traveling southbound on Highway 169 near School Street in Elk River when they all collided at the intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

    Angela Berglund, 41, of Milaca, was traveling in a 2012 Toyota Camry with no passengers and was uninjured in the crash.

    Scott Bemis, 52, of Milaca, was traveling in a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix with passenger Tyler Johnson, 38, of Milaca and both sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash, the State Patrol reported.

    Kale Kulchisky, 48, of Zimmerman, was traveling in a 2019 Ford F750 with no passengers and was uninjured in the crash.

    Cyndal Norman, 28, of Princeton was traveling in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with no passengers and sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, the State Patrol reported.

    Roberto Willson, 60, of Mora, was traveling in a 2021 Volkswagen Passat with passenger Jennifer Willson, 52, of Mora and both sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, the State Patrol reported.

    The State Patrol did not disclose if all those injured in the crash were transported to a healthcare facility for treatment or where they may have been transported.

    According to the State Patrol, it is unknown if Bemis and Johnson were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. However, all others involved were wearing seat belts.

    The State Patrol reported that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

    The Elk River Police Department, Elk River Fire Department, and Allina Medical assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
