Alexandria native wins singing competition to perform at Red Rocks
Reagan Golden’s biggest gig thus far is the St. Mary’s Parish Festival, but that will change on July 11 when she performs at Red Rocks. Golden started playing the guitar in fourth grade and sang by fifth grade. She said she wrote her first good song at the age of 12. Aside from doing local gigs around Campbell County, Golden didn’t have any large performances on the books until she entered a contest to perform with bluegrass folk band Trampled by Turtles at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado and won.

Elsmere repeals negotiations with Flagship Communities REIT
Elsmere City Council called a special meeting last week to repeal a municipal order passed last year concerning negotiations with Flagship Communities REIT. The order authorized the city to acquire 18 acres of Heartland Pointe, a real estate property owned by Flagship Communities REIT at 1630 Garvey Ave., with the aim of constructing a public works facility and a public park at the location.
