We’re declaring a First Alert Weather Day for the Aberdeen and Pierre areas for Wednesday. Storms are expected to develop in the late afternoon and into the evening hours and move east overnight Wednesday. As the storms move east overnight, they’ll weaken considerably. The main threats will be for large hail and damaging wind gusts. This will lead to rainfall on Thursday lingering for mainly the eastern parts of the region like Sioux Falls for example with no threat for severe weather.
