    Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council #3792 Donate and Tour KSI

    Proceeds from the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive were donated to Kent Sussex Industries

    KSI received a generous donation from the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council #3792 in Milford. Following the check presentation, four representatives from the St. Joseph Council took time to tour KSI’s Milford facility, meeting program participants and seeing the newly renovated Life Enrichment area. The St. Joseph Council Knights donated funds to KSI as a result of their annual Tootsie Roll drive when they solicit donations to help those with intellectual or physical disabilities. Since 2016 the St. Joseph Council #3792 Knights have donated more than $13,000 to KSI.

    The Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council #3792 holds a business meeting on the third Thursday of every month at 7 PM and a breakfast meeting on the second Sunday of each month at 9 and 10:30 AM. Meetings are held at St. John the Apostle, 506 Seabury Avenue in Milford.

    The group is a Catholic fraternity organization which began in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney who wanted to start a charitable giving group. The mission of the Knights of Columbus is to empower Catholic men to live their fait at home, int ehir parish, at work and in their community.     The annual Tootsie Roll Drive consists of members of the organization passing out Tootsie Rolls and collecting donations specifically to help children with special needs. It is a nationwide project for the organization.
