    Body recovered of missing swimmer in Pike County

    MILFORD, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Officials release they have recovered the body of the man who went missing while swimming in the Delaware River at Milford Beach.

    According to Pike County Communications Center, first responders were conducting a water recovery at Milford Beach after a male went under and never resurfaced Saturday afternoon.

    Officials say the call came in just before 3:30 p.m. for a male who never resurfaced.

    The National Parks Service states they were searching for a 24-year-old Jeysson Ariel Osorio-Reyes from Jackson, New Jersey who was reportedly last seen approximately 75 yards from the PA Shore in the Delaware River by a witness before submerging.

    Crews were in recovery efforts with five boats, eight divers, and two side scan sonars, they continued as long as weather and daylight allowed them to, officials note.

    As stated in the release crew recovered Osorio-Reyes around 7:00 p.m. from the waters of the Delaware River near Milford Beach within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
