Trader Joe’s new Harlem location will open this week
Harlem’s first-ever Trader Joe’s will open on Thursday, July 25, the grocery store announced. The 17,800-square-foot location can be found at 123 West 125th Street, part of a mixed-use development with office space, retail, affordable housing, the headquarters of the National Urban League, and a new museum dedicated to the civil rights movement. Trader Joe’s will open at 8 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

WARWICK- The Orange County Land Trust is set to obtain Warwick’s Gibraltar Rock, a 136-acre property, with the help of a $484,000 federal grant. The Gibraltar Rock property is rich in history. Due to the property’s rock formations, it was regarded by Native Americans as sacred ground. It also became a popular place for tourists, hikers, and locals alike who often visit the area to picnic or sightsee. For decades, residents have been pushing for the property to be preserved.

47-year-old man dies in Warwick barn fire
WARWICK – A 47-year-old Pine Island man was killed in a barn fire on Amity Road in Warwick on Tuesday. The fire was reported at about 11:34 a.m. and when first responders arrived at the scene, the barn was fully engulfed in flames. The unidentified victim was severely burned and pronounced dead at the scene.
