    Oklahoma man crashes motorcycle near Redings Mill, Mo. rushed to hospital, serious injuries

    NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Just before 10:45 p.m. Saturday night reports of motorcycle crash on Mo-86, 1/3 mile north of Foliage Road alerted Newton County Central Comm.

    Redings Mill Fire Dept, Newton County Ambulance and Newton County Deputies responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

    On scene we learn a northbound 2018 Honda Grom motorcycle crashed alone.

    Troopers identify Michael Tarter , 58, of Grove, Oka. later in a preliminary crash report. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed priority, lights and sirens, to an area hospital.

    Crash occurred as Honda Grom was traveling north on Mo-86 when Honda Grom traveled off the right side of the roadway. Driver overcorrected and returned onto the roadway where the Honda Grom overturned and ejected driver.

    It should be noted this section of the northbound roadway was brand new asphalt, lanes designated with reflective markers. The southbound lane was not completed at the time of the crash. Electric signs and reflective cones and markers denoted this was a work zone.

    Road conditions were dry.

    Perry Towing removed the motorcycle from the crash area.
