    Millburn Acting School Supervisor Provides Summer Update

    MILLBURN, NJ – Millburn Acting School Supervisor Dr. Kate Diskin recently sent out a summer update email. She began with Building & Ground personnel. “[They] have been overseeing a number of projects in progress as a result of the approval of the 2023 Referendum, along with the usual summer maintenance.”

    Diskin also shared that many staff members are participating in Professional Development opportunities offered through the Curriculum and Instruction office and taught by Millburn teachers.

    She reported, “Building Principals and Administrators from around the district are preparing for the start of the upcoming school year with meetings and projects, including student schedules, curriculum work, summer building renovations, and cleaning regimens, are currently underway, so we’ll be ready for students to return on Tuesday, September 3.”

    Diskin noted that many students are participating in Summer Skills, ESL, STEM and Extended School Year (ESY) programs.

    She congratulated Millburn 2024 graduate Riya Devroy for being named a National Merit Scholarship recipient.


    Diskin also mentioned that Millburn High School Junior, Alexander Wang, won first place with five others in the United States International Mathematical Olympiad in Bath, United Kingdom. He was one of 609 students competing from 108 countries.

    There’s a Board of Education meeting on July 30.
