Crazy Oven pizzeria has opened at 3701 West Lake Road, a spot vacated in February by Yonkers Pizzeria.

Their former location, near Sara's at 35 Peninsula Drive, is now the home of Taste Thai.

Crazy Oven spokeswoman Elaine Khodzhayan, whose father, Sergey Khodzhayan, owns the business, said they enjoyed their time near the peninsula, but they want to change things up.

"We really want to focus on our takeout, pickup and delivery business," Khodzhayan said. "There will be no dine-in."

The new location, 3701 West Lake Road, is the former site of the Yonkers pizza. Yonkers management could not be reached for comment.

"(Crazy Oven has) a thin-crust, hand-tossed, stone-baked pizza, reminicient of New York style," she said, adding that they also have deep-dish and Sicillian pizza, but the New York style is their specialty. "People say (the pizza) is like being back in New York."

The restaurant is now open daily, 3 to 8 p.m., and an updated menu is available on their website, crazyoven.com/menu/. It includes not just pizza, but also calzones, wings, appetizers, salads and pasta.

Crazy Oven takes online orders at their website, as well as by phone at 814-835-3400.
