Salt Lake City — Switchpoint, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating homelessness and extreme poverty, is thrilled to announce the receipt of a $1.8 million grant from the Olene Walker Housing Loan Fund, $1 million grant from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a $1 million grant from the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation. These generous funds will support the completion of Phase 2 of Switchpoint’s Fairpark Deeply Affordable and Permanently Supportive Housing project, located at 130 North 2100 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.

West Valley City, Utah – Forward Aaron Aragon is returning to the Utah Grizzlies for the 2024-25 season. Aragon signed with Utah on Nov. 21, 2023 and went on to post 16 points (10g-6a) in 59 games with the club. Salt Lake woman charged with setting husband on fire
SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake woman was charged Thursday with lighting her husband on fire and not allowing him to get help until he promised not to turn her in. Cecilia Cuevas, 31, is charged in 3rd District Court with aggravated arson, a first-degree felony; obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony; and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, a third-degree felony.
