    Essentia Health offering informational EssentiaCare Medicare webinars

    Essentia Health is making it easier for people approaching the age of 65 to learn about EssentiaCare, which is a Medicare Advantage plan from Essentia Health and UCare that offers low-cost coverage for high-quality health care.

    We will be hosting several “EssentiaCare Medicare Basic” webinars in September and October. These are an opportunity for Essentia patients to learn more about Medicare and available insurance options.

    The free webinar sessions will be offered at the following dates and times:

    10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16.

    2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.

    10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.

    2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.

    People with special needs can access these meetings by calling (866) 417-0901; TTY users should call (800) 688-2354.

    Topics to be discussed at the webinars include:

    Reviewing the four parts of Medicare and what each one covers.

    Finding out what plans are available.

    Understanding enrollment timelines.

    EssentiaCare is available to people who live in an 11-county service area in Minnesota, including Aitkin, Becker, Carlton, Cass, Clay, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Lake, Pine and St. Louis counties. It’s also available in Bayfield, Douglas and Washburn counties in Wisconsin. Members can receive in-network care at any Essentia Health hospital or clinic in Minnesota, Wisconsin or North Dakota.

    Medicare open enrollment runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7.

    Since 2016, UCare and Essentia Health have partnered to offer lower monthly premiums and access to all Essentia doctors and advanced practitioners.
