The Christian Women’s Club, will meet Thursday, Sept. 19, at 12:30 p.m. at Tulibee Tavern (formerly Wahkon Inn). All women of any age are welcome. Following lunch the speaker will be Arlene Gabrielson of Cambridge, discussing “a never-ending love story. Do you sometimes feel unworthy of God’s love?” Gabrielson will be performing a dramatic monologue of Gomer, (the unfaithful wife of the Bible’s prophet, Hosea). The piano and violin duo of Weber St. John, will be performing in concert Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Garrison. The duo specializes in hymn arrangements for churches, and call this performance “Harmony in faith, a Lutheran hymn experience.”
Isle Evangelical Free Church, will be holding a potluck lunch to celebrating their 100th Anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 6, marking the anniversary of the beginnings of this church body in 1924. The church welcomes former members returning to celebrate with a worship service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a potluck lunch and memory sharing time on the church’s history. Historical documents will be on display.
